Nuts are excellent snack options. Its important that you start to include them in your daily meal planning.

These are:

  1. High in good quality fat
  2. High in antioxidants and thus anti-aging
  3. Help in correcting the deranged lipid profile
  4. Good for people with Diabetes
  5. Help in reducing inflammation and in turn many other disorders that have inflammation as their root cause
  6. Excellent source of trace elements like Zinc, Magnesium, Manganese, Selenium
  7. Helpful in maintain the gut flora and variety for a strong digestive system
  8. Nuts are food for brain and thus found to be helpful in treatment and prevention of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s
  9. Excellent for weight loss (surprised?)

If you want nuts to work for you, the few things you must keep in mind are:

  • Have a handful nuts at a time.
  • These nuts should be unsalted and dry roasted, not fried.
